Bent Creek features 30 miles of hiking trails near Asheville, NC. The trails are located in the northern tip of the Pisgah Ranger District of the Pisgah National Forest and some connect with the Mountains to Sea/Shut In Trail. Trails are varied and are great for beginners and families as well as advanced hikers. <br />
There are plenty of easy loop trails around Lake Powhatan as well as more advanced trails that climb the surrounding mountains.
"Hwy.191 south of Asheville, near the Blue Ridge Parkway entrance. You can go thru the Arboretum and hang left, or take Bent Creek Ranch Rd. Don't worry , you'll see all the other Mtn. Bikers about 1/4 mile from Lake Powhatan....
